

Committee terms are May 1–December 31.
Each month, committees meet for one hour with 1–2 hours of independent work. Members are expected to attend at least one Slow Spokes event per month (or work 1–2 additional hours to help promote/organize committee projects).

Help us tell the story of Slow Spokes! We produce graphics, Instagram reels, and take photos to promote our events, resources, community, mission, and ethos.
Finance/Fundraising
Keep the wheels turning by scouting grants, fundraising for events, and finding new ways to make Slow Spokes financially sustainable.
Community Events
Help folks feel welcome, represented, and supported by the Slow Spokes community by planning and facilitating low-barrier social events that build meaningful, lasting connections between folks who align with the Slow Spokes mission.
Gear Library
Help folks borrow the gear they need to go bikepacking by managing the lending process, scouting new gear and maintaining current inventory, and co-hosting community gear nights!
This team currently has four members and we’re looking to add two more! The Leadership Team facilitate Slow Spokes programming, oversee the four committees, and work together to uphold the mission of Slow Spokes.
Each month, members of the Leadership Team meet 1–2 times for 2 hours and complete 10+ hours of independent work (fluctuates based on season). Members attend the events they facilitate and manage at least one Committee.
